ARGGHHH! Relapse
I see it has been two weeks since I last wrote here. I've had a bit of a setback as one thing piled upon another. Nasty cold, writing and grading the first exam in two courses while sick, couldn't even bring myself to do yoga, and on top of it all, in that frame of mind I even drifted back to old eating habits and stopped exercising. Then, just when I was recovering and starting yoga and veggies again, an adjunct instructor got awfully sick and I had to take her six-hour Saturday class yesterday. After that marathon, I came home and crawled into bed for about fifteen hours.
This morning I felt so lethargic I could hardly get out of bed. I peered at the clock and saw that only if I hurried could I feed the dog and make it to one of my favorites, the Sunday morning gentle yoga class. I vacillated. I almost didn't make it, but at the last moment, drifting off to sleep again, my rational mind kicked my self-pitying depressed persona right off the stage. She was too weak to get up and fight back. I willed myself out from under the covers. I made it to yoga class, and now I feel a thousand times better.
Just now I glanced to the right and noticed a red and black envelope contained one ticket to see the Dirty Dozen Brass Band from New Orleans tonight! I'd forgotten all about it! I was planning to go to a movie.
Ta-rah!
